When the idea of My Lgbt Plus first originated our team wanted to find a way to incorporate all identities to our website. To do so we looked at the two most common acronyms used to define the “gay community”

- L.G.B.T (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) and

- L.Q.B.T.Q.Q.I.A (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, ally)

The Plus in our name indicates My Lgbt Plus is inclusive of all identities ensuring that all members of the community are welcomed and that none will not be left out. Here at My Lgbt Plus, we make it a mission not to have a closed focus of just the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender community but also our queer, questioning, straight allies and all our friends who feel comfortable with who they define themselves as.

A significance of “My”

The My in My Lgbt Plus is meant to show the importance that this website is a resource for you. Our team comes from many different backgrounds with varying diversity to bring a resource that has information for every community member to utilize.
