Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) Network is a youth leadership organization that connects high school Gay Straight Alliances (GSAs) to each other by providing resources to the community.
GSA Network is dedicated to:
- helping youth create safe environments in schools for students to support each other and learn about homophobia, transphobia and other oppressions.
- educating school communities about homophobia, transphobia, gender identity and sexual orientation issues
- fighting discrimination, harassment and violence in schools
History Timeline:
1998 - Gay Straight Alliance Network was founded by current Director Carolyn Laub
2001 – GSA Network became a statewide organization.
2005 – marked GSA Network operating programs nationally
2008 - GSA Network became an independent 501(c)3 non-profit organization
